Walking to the beach

You can walk straight to the beach from your accommodation. Enjoy a sunny day at the beach, take a dip in the waves or take an evening stroll with your feet in the surf.

Rent a bike

On the car-free island of Vlieland, bicycles are the best mode of transportation. On a bicycle ride through the unusual surroundings, you can ride through the woods, scale the dunes, and take in the peace and quiet.

On the island of Vlieland, you can find numerous pleasant restaurants. Enjoy dinner while you watch the sunset on the beach or have a delicious lunch in one of the restaurants in Dorpsstraat.

In and around the park

Enjoy the peace, space and relaxation at Landal Vlieduyn. Get on your bicycle and discover the dunes, forests and sandy plains that the island has to offer. Stop for lunch on the beach along the way. You can enjoy seeing the sun sink into the sea from the balcony once you’re back in your apartment.

Sports on the beach

There are endless possibilities for sports on the beach. Let the salty sea breeze blow through your hair whilst taking a horseback ride on the beach. Or check out the action and go rafting, kite surfing or power kiting.

Spotting the seals

The Wadden Sea is home to a large population of seals. Go on a seal tour and whizz across the water in search of these magnificent animals. You can often spot them sunbathing on the mud flats, but who knows, maybe one will swim along with the boat. It’s a unique experience for young and old!

Flidunen swimming pool

If you don't feel like swimming in the salty seawater, visit the nearby Flidunen swimming pool. Here, you can swim a couple of lengths while the children hurtle down the slide and splash around in the paddling pool.
